The Right Clean for Your Home's Exterior

High pressure isn't the answer for every surface. Our soft-wash process uses biodegradable solution to safely remove algae, mold, and buildup from siding, stucco, brick, and roofs — with zero risk of damage.

What is Soft Wash?

Soft wash is a low-pressure exterior cleaning method that relies on targeted chemical solution rather than brute force. A biodegradable cleaning agent is applied to surfaces, breaking down organic growth (algae, mold, lichen, pollen) at the root. The solution is then rinsed away — often at pressures lower than a garden hose.

  • Removes algae, mold, and mildew from siding
  • Eliminates lichen and moss from stucco and brick
  • Clears pollen and oxidation from painted wood
  • Safe for vinyl, James Hardie, stucco, and EIFS
  • Will not etch, scour, or damage modern siding materials

When to Use Soft Wash

Not sure if soft wash is the right approach? Here's where it excels.

Vinyl & Wood Siding

Soft wash is the preferred method for all painted or coated siding. High pressure can get behind panels, crack caulking, and force water into walls. Solution + low pressure cleans thoroughly without any of that risk.

Stucco & Rendered Surfaces

Stucco has a textured surface that traps moisture — pressure washing can push water deep into the wall system and cause serious damage. Soft wash saturates the surface evenly, safely breaking down biological growth.

Roofing (Shingles & Tile)

Asphalt shingles and roof tiles are easily damaged by high pressure. Soft wash clears algae (black streaking), moss, and lichen without dislodging granules or cracking tiles — extending the life of the roof.

Soft Wash vs. Pressure Wash

Both have a place. Here's how to decide.

Soft Wash Pressure Wash
Method Biodegradable solution + low-pressure rinse High-velocity water stream
Pressure Under 500 psi 1500–4000 psi
Best surfaces Vinyl, wood, stucco, brick, roofing Concrete, asphalt, stone, brick pavers
Turnaround Solution dwell time: 10–20 minutes Immediate results, no dwell needed
Typical price range $250–$600 for residential $150–$400 for residential
Risk if misapplied Surface staining if not rinsed properly Surface etching, water intrusion
