What is Roof Soft Washing?

Roof soft washing is a low-pressure cleaning method using a sodium hypochlorite-based solution applied directly to the roof surface. It kills biological growth — algae, moss, and lichen — at the root rather than blasting it off with damaging high pressure. This is the method recommended by ARMA (Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association) for all asphalt shingle roofs.

Pre-Inspection
